Sales Director

Teachable is expanding rapidly and we need an enthusiastic, personable and persistent person to oversee sales to school, Local Authorities and other educational companies.

Your goals will be to convince school leaders to buy Teachable access as a package to save time and IT / textbook costs, and to promote the Teachable brand to other educators.  You will be expected to attend a range of events for teachers, sell school bundles on the phone and built relationships with other partners for Teachable.

Essential skills:
  • Proven sales and presentation ability, both on the phone and in person
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and internet
  • Experience of selling into the public sector, and preferably of working in education itself
  • Strong organisational abilities to deal with working in a geographically-dispersed team
  • Flexible, can-do attitude – we are expanding fast and you will sometimes have to take on more than you can chew!

Desirable:

  • Track record of selling digital products into schools
  • Financial acumen to monitor sales pipeline and conversion rates
  • Experience of developing and selling a web product

Modern Languages Editor

We need an experienced MFL teacher to moderate the MFL section of our site, and to provide guidance on where to source further MFL content. Fluency in French is essential;  Spanish, Italian and German are also desirable in that order.

This is a freelance role, working from home, which will involve mainly reviewing and editing presentations/ worksheets in Word or Powerpoint.  We have a pay-per-file-reviewed system which should allow an experienced and efficient editor to earn £20 per hour, along with gaining interesting experience

You must:
  • Be very familiar with English curriculum for Key Stage 3 and GCSE
  • Have a keen interest in producing online and interactive teaching materials;
  • Be able to commit to 5-10 hours a week of work over the next year
  • Have use of a computer and permanent internet connection
  • Have excellent IT skills, including advanced ability with Word and Powerpoint
