Overview    For Your School    For Yourself    Win Prizes    The Small Print

The competition running until January 2010 has now closed - see our blog for results

This month we are looking for IGCSE material

Win £1000 prizes by contributing to Teachable

Image Plus if you win, your school will get free access to Teachable’s high quality teaching resources for a whole year.

We want to reward the excellent teaching material contributed to Teachable.net by recognising individual contributors and their resources.  Any entries for the Teachable competition may be published on the Teachable site, but will NOT earn future Contributor Rewards.

A £1000 cash prize will go to the contributor judged to have submitted the most orginal, well-presented, time-saving material for an IGCSE course in any subject.

You have until April 30th 2010 to submit your entry. And don’t forget to spread the word to your colleagues; the more  resources your school submits, the better the chances of your school gaining access to Teachable for Free!

For more contributing information see our formatting guidelines and our guide to contributing.
You can contribute by uploading directly to the site or emailing contribute@teachable.net.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The competition is open to all teachers or retired teachers who have taught an IGCSE course.  You are welcome to compete as a teacher from another country, but please note that contributions will be judged mainly by teachers from the UK.
  2. By entering our competition you are opting out of Teachable’s standard Contributor Rewards.  If your resource is appreciated by our members Teachable will charge for downloading this file, but you as the author are waiving your right to ongoing royalties from this material.
  3. You can contribute work derived from material your colleagues or associates have produced, providing you obtain their permission to publish.  If the contribution wins a prize, you are free to split the prize however you see fair.
  4. Existing contributors are permitted to submit further resources for the competition, but cannot resubmit existing resources without substantially editing them (as judged solely by Teachable).
  5. The deadline for entries is Friday 30th April, after which there will be a month’s review period.  Please note that the earlier you upload your files, the more reviews you are likely to get.
  6. The prize winners will be announced by Friday 28th May 2010, and the prizes will be granted within two weeks of this date.
  7. The winners will be judged partly on the ratings and reviews during the review period – you are encouraged to get your colleagues to join in the reviews - and partly from a panel of experts assembled by Teachable.
  8. Winners will be required to take part in some publicity about their prize, which may include a photo, interview with press and featuring your school in our marketing.
